How Rankings Work

The leaderboard ranks users by total XP earned. Positions are not live to the second: the all-time boards are served from a short cache, so new XP shows up a couple of minutes later. The weekly and monthly boards work differently, they read a pre-computed snapshot that is rebuilt once a week (on Monday) and once a month (on the 1st), and the weekly board covers the week that has just closed rather than the one in progress. The leaderboard displays:
  • Your current rank
  • Display name and avatar
  • Level and level title
  • Total XP
  • Current streak
  • Your 3 rarest badges
  • Confirmed referral count

Boards and Sorts

The page has four boards:
  • User - individual members
  • Validators - validator rewards ranking
  • Featured Apps - app rewards ranking
  • Ecosystem - combined ecosystem engagement
Inside the User board you choose how to sort:
  • XP - total XP earned
  • Referral - confirmed referrals (all-time only)
  • Streak - current daily check-in streak (all-time only)
The XP sort adds a period filter with three options: All-time, This Month and This Week. Referral and Streak have no period filter, they are always all-time.

Does XP Ever Reset?

No. XP and badges are permanent, and there is no seasonal reset planned. CCTools is built as a reputation platform, so wiping the board would punish the members who built the longest history. If you want a shorter window, the XP sort already gives you This Month and This Week, which rank recent activity without touching anyone’s all-time total.
