Community Submissions Are Not Open Yet

Academy does not accept community posts today. The + Write a post button on the Academy page opens a Coming soon placeholder, not a working editor, and nothing has ever been published through it. Everything on Academy right now is written by the CCTools editorial team. The structured-content editor is still being refined, and community submissions open only once it ships. This page will be updated with the live flow when that happens. If you already have a topic in mind, send it through Feedback and it goes into the queue for the first wave of community posts.

What the Writer Will Ask For

The rest of this page is a preview of the format, not a form you can fill in today. You pick whether you are writing an Article or a Guide, and the rest of the form adapts to the format you choose. Common fields:
  • Title and slug (auto-generated from the title)
  • Cover image URL
  • Tags (used for filtering and related-post matching)
  • Reading time (or estimated time for guides - auto-calculated as you write)
Article-specific fields: kicker, reading focus, intro, sections (with optional callouts / pull-quotes / inline images), key points, takeaways, FAQ, resources, CTA. Guide-specific fields: goal, prerequisites, what you’ll build, numbered steps (each step with optional code / image / tip), troubleshooting, takeaways, resources, CTA. The editor is block-based: you build the post section by section instead of writing one long text field. Unsafe HTML is stripped before anything is saved, so only a small set of formatting tags survives.

How Review Will Work

Community posts will not go live on their own. Each submission enters a review queue, where the CCTools team checks for:
  • Factual accuracy (especially Canton-specific claims)
  • Originality (no copy-paste content without credit)
  • Formatting sanity (images load, links work, structure follows the template)
  • Relevance to the Canton Network ecosystem
Planned outcomes:
  • Approved - Post goes live on Academy and is credited to your profile
  • Requested changes - You get feedback and can edit and resubmit
  • Rejected - Out-of-scope or low-effort submissions.
The first submissions will be walked through by hand to set the quality bar. Once a post of yours is approved and published, it earns XP, counts toward the post count on your public profile, and can be shared freely.
